The Sound of Precarity

The Sound of Precarity: Musical Labor During and After the COVID-19 Pandemic oriented itself around the local music scene and plans to combat issues made apparent since quarantining. The plan was to give musicians a chance to talk about the effects of the pandemic on their lives and livelihoods and an opportunity to perform in front of live and virtual audiences. This project documented and preserved local musical culture via audio and video recording, and provided public audiences opportunities to learn about musicians’ lived experiences and hear them perform.
